In today’s rapidly changing environment, with expanding communications and the need to meet societal expectations, universities as knowledge-generating institutions require mechanisms to adapt to these dynamics. Enhancing organizational capabilities, adopting flexible structures, and developing inter-organizational interactions are vital for their effectiveness and sustainability. In this context, organizational social responsibility serves as a key soft factor that improves performance, accountability, trust, and organizational cohesion. This study examines whether organizational social responsibility influences inter-organizational communication strategies through the mediating role of organizational structure at Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences. The research is applied in purpose and descriptive-survey with a causal approach in method. The statistical population included 469 official university members, with 211 randomly selected using Cochran’s formula. Data were collected via standard questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS22 and LISREL8.8 software. Results indicate that training in organizational social responsibility significantly affects inter-organizational communication strategies through organizational structure; however, the direct effect was not confirmed. It is suggested that future studies investigate the role of organizational social responsibility as a complementary component in modeling organizational structure and communication.
