English

Objective: The rapid expansion of the digital ecosystem and women’s exposure to emerging communication challenges have increasingly highlighted the need for context-specific models of self-regulation and resilience. This study aimed to address the management and education of dimensions of women’s behavioral and communication regulation within the digital ecosystem and to elucidate their role in social resilience.
Method: This applied study employed a qualitative research design using thematic analysis based on the six-phase approach proposed by Braun and Clarke. The research population consisted of family psychologists across Iran, who were selected through purposive sampling until theoretical saturation was reached. Data were collected through 25 in-depth, semi-structured interviews and analyzed using coding procedures. To establish the trustworthiness of the findings, credibility, transferability, confirmability, dependability, and triangulation criteria were employed. In addition, inter-rater agreement was assessed using Cohen’s kappa coefficient, which yielded a value of 0.82, indicating a high level of agreement among the raters regarding the extracted model.
Results: The findings indicated that the model of women’s behavioral and communication regulation could be explained through seven main dimensions: emotional mastery, proactive decision-making, enhancement of mindfulness, network care, preservation of family privacy, communication restriction, and cognitive-critical regulation.
Conclusions: The findings suggest that the management and education of behavioral and communication regulation dimensions can be considered a protective and antecedent mechanism for promoting social resilience among women. This process may contribute to strengthening communication boundaries, improving the quality of social ties, and reducing psychosocial pressures, thereby fostering social resilience and psychosocial well-being among women within the digital ecosystem.
